OC GRIP’s mission is to prevent targeted at-risk minors from joining criminal street gangs and enable them to graduate from high school free from destructive activities and behavior. Taekwondojang has been an OC GRIP partner since 2009.
In 2013 we started the summer camp program “Stripes for Success” where kids learn discipline, leadership, teamwork, and respect. They develop valuable life skills like maintaining eye-contact, speaking with confidence, and having respect towards authority.
Master Cardenas currently teaches at Oxford Preparatory Academy SOC and Saddleback campuses. He is in charge of developing and implementing the taekwondo program by promoting healthy habits and discipline to students.
Master Cardenas is also in charge of the Kindergarten TKD Club at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School.
Whether it is for fundraisers, Jog-A-Thons, show-and-tell presentations, or festivals, Master Cardenas always makes himself available to help. He works closely with the Principals and staff of San Juan public schools.
